Privacy Policy

The operator of House Math is the controller of personal data processed through the Service at https://house-math.com. The Service is operated from the United States. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites linked from the Service (including county records and listing sites), which are governed by those parties’ policies.

We have not appointed an EU or UK representative under GDPR Article 27 / UK GDPR Article 27. If that appointment becomes required, this Policy will be updated with the representative’s contact details.

We collect:

• Lookup data. Addresses you submit; matched address, coordinates, and public property facts retrieved to produce a report.
• Reports. Estimates, comparables, copied listing-site figures, and related work product stored so a report can be reopened.
• User-supplied facts. Corrections you enter (living area, beds, baths, year, roof, and similar).
• Technical data. IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested paths, used for security and operation of the Service.

We do not request Social Security numbers, bank-account numbers, or payment cards to look up a property.

We use the information in Section 2 to: (a) operate the Service and produce Estimates; (b) authenticate you and maintain saved reports; (c) maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce the Terms; (d) debug and improve the Service; and (e) comply with law.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are:

• Article 6(1)(b) contract — providing the Service you request (address lookup and report).
• Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests — securing the Service, preventing abuse, and remembering that you have seen the cookie notice. You may object as described in Section 9.
• Article 6(1)(c) legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for third-party advertising. We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you (GDPR Art. 22). An Estimate is an informational figure about a property, not a decision we take about you.

We disclose information to service providers that host or store the Service, and to public or commercial data sources queried to build a report (which receive the address necessary to answer the query). We may disclose information if required by law, to protect House Math or others, or in connection with a transfer of the Service.

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you use it from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your personal data is transferred to the United States. Where required, we rely on: (a) an applicable adequacy decision; (b) Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (and the UK international data transfer addendum, where applicable) with our processors; and/or (c) the transfer being necessary to perform a contract with you (GDPR Art. 49(1)(b)) — for example, producing a report you requested.

We use strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use advertising, analytics, or profiling cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under ePrivacy Art. 5(3) / UK PECR. The full inventory, durations, and legal bases are in the Cookie Policy.

Fonts are served from house-math.com. We do not load Google Fonts in your browser. The Service does not currently offer accounts, so we do not set sign-in cookies.

We retain reports for so long as needed to provide the Service, to satisfy legal obligations, or until you request deletion we can reasonably honor. We may delete unused, stale, or abusive records. Technical logs are retained only as needed for security and operations.

We employ reasonable administrative and technical measures, including encrypted transport in production and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You shall not store secrets in a report.

You may use the Service without creating an account. Accounts are not currently offered.

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to: access; rectification; erasure; restriction of processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (GDPR Arts. 12–22 and 77), including your local authority or, for the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. These rights are not absolute.

We do not rely on consent for cookies, so there is no cookie consent to withdraw.

To exercise rights, contact the operator of House Math at house-math.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights afforded by applicable law, including, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act.

The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). The Service is intended for users eighteen (18) years of age or older. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

We may revise this Policy by posting an updated version with a new date. Continued use constitutes acceptance. See also the Terms of Use.
